Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital

The brief

Sans Frontiere was asked to promote this superbly equipped new children’s hospital in Brighton, and to develop communication links between the hospital, prospective patients and GPs.

Our response

Sans Frontiere drew on the animal themes of the hospital’s architecture to develop a distinctive and friendly new brand.

We produced the new website in 2011 and our informative content and user-friendly design helps prepare parents and children for their upcoming hospital visits. The website has received over 7,000 hits in five months.

Peter Larsen-Disney, Chief of Women & Children, Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust commented:
“Guys this is a stunning achievement. It looks great! Thank you so much for all your work.”

A PR campaign to promote the The Alex’s website launch was handled by Sans Frontiere and resulted in the following prominent coverage:

  • Article in The Argus newspaper
  • Article in The Latest 7 (Brighton free magazine)
  • Article on online Mid Sussex Times and Sussex Express
  • Article on Childfriendlybrighton.co.uk and Newsfrombrighton.co.uk
  • Interest from BBC South East
  • Article in Children First (NHS magazine)
  • Article in Rockinghorse newsletter

Sans Frontiere also created a suite of patient leaflets for the hospital and a clinical directory brochure.

Sans Frontiere continues to support the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital with marketing services in response to new developments.
